ROSEN has developed the most sensitive metal loss inspection tools available today. The systems are based on Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) technology and are designed to detect and accurately size pipe wall irregularities.
Corrosion Detection Pig (CDP)
The CDP is our high-resolution MFL inspection tool utilizing longitudinal pipe magnetization, and it is optimized to detect and accurately measure pipeline anomalies such as corrosion, girth weld cracks, mill defects and others.
Axial Flaw Detection (AFD) Tool
Longitudinal pipe magnetization has difficulties detecting narrow longitudinal features.
ROSEN has developed Transverse Flux Technology which induces the magnetic field in transverse direction, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the pipeline. Narrow longitudinal defects can now be clearly detected and accurately measured.
AFD technology, combined with the CDP technology, provides the ultimate means of detecting and measuring all possible pipeline features.
ROSEN operates a fleet of high-resolution CDP and AFD tools ranging from 3" to 56" in diameter.
